After the strategic communication planning meeting in February in New York, where the joint Climate Action Summit of California and the COP of Poland were defined as strong moments of joint action in 2018, the organizations that participated in the «Guardians of the Forest» alliance wanted to take advantage of the presence in New York of several of their representatives, convened to the Permanent Forum of the United Nations in Indigenous Affairs, to have a joint planning meeting on April 14 and 15, 2018. To organize this meeting, COICA and AMPB invited AMAN and APIB and asked for the support of Tejiendo Lazos to make the meeting possible.
In this meeting, communication mechanisms were reviewed so that the political leaders of these organizations can better participate in the joint definition of their future activities.
